16 Solihull Parks awarded Green Flag

Elmdon ward Councillor Yvonne Clements praises the Borough's success in retaining its prestigious 16 Green Flags awarded to our parks, cemeteries and green spaces. The Green Flag parks include the outstanding Elmdon Park and Damson Lane Park.

The Keep Britain Tidy Green Flag Award sets the benchmark standard for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world, being an international quality mark for parks and green spaces. The full list of Solihull's Green Flags:

Yvonne says

We have two stunning parks in our ward and I again thank the work of the council officers and especially the volunteers from the ‘Friends of’ groups for all they do. They have made this happen and their work should not go unnoticed

The council will continue to invest in our parks to make sure this prestigious award is retained very year
